Professional Writing, with Emphasis on Global Studies/Communication:
The Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures seeks an
advanced Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Rhetoric &
Composition with an emphasis on professional writing and technical
communication, with additional interests in internationalization, global
studies, or digital rhetoric. This tenure-system position requires a
PhD in Rhetoric, Composition Studies, Technical Writing, English, or
other relevant fields.
We seek candidates to contribute our undergraduate Professional Writing
and graduate Rhetoric & Writing programs and in our required Tier I
writing program, with possible connections to the Writing in Digital
Environments Research Center. Additionally, we seek candidates who will
help build international and global studies initiatives in our programs.
Ideal candidates will also contribute to digital technology
initiatives in the College of Arts and Letters. An active and
productive research agenda is expected, along with visibility and
activity in national and international professional organizations.
